Description

**********RESCHEDULED TO JUNE 25, 2022**********

Alexandria Choral Society closes out its 2021-22 season with Refuge, a social justice-themed program featuring a world-premiere performance of Jonathan Kolm's crowd-sourced commission of the same name. Kolm describes his work as "large in musical scope and scale, but on an emotional and societal level," portraying an individual's journey out of conflict and exile towards safety and refuge.

He says, "This piece represents my passion for composing music in addition to my commitment to social justice and doing my part to try and make the world a better place for everyone. Knowing that ACS and Brian Isaac share these ideals has made it a pleasure to collaborate with them and bring this piece to the community."

For the safety of our singers and audience, masks and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination will be required at this performance.

ACS's COVID-19 VACCINATION & MASKING POLICIES:

Any attendees who fail to comply with these policies will not be admitted to the concert.

PROOF OF VACCINATION: All attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and will be required to show proof of vaccination upon entry. All attendees over 18 years of age will also be required to provide a valid photo ID.
